“It’s actually terrifying,” Colin says. “To give up the security that the military has provided me and my family for the last nine years is probably the scariest thing I’ve ever done. But I know it’s what God has called me to do. I know that He wants me to reach people through this music.”
Colin’s latest project draws influence from the hard-hitting blues rock of Jack White and The Black Keys as well as some of his favorite Blues artists like Howlin Wolf and Blind Willie Johnson. He describes his first single, “Walk By Faith,” as minimalistic. “I admire what the early blues artists did and what The White Stripes were known for- that stripped down, raw grit that relies on the content of the song more than a produced track,” Colin says.
Colin will officially be off active duty in August at which time he and his wife, Martha, are moving to Nashville.
